Take control of your smile—and life—with clear aligners. Clear aligners are an amazing alternative for adults and teens who want to improve their smile without metal braces. This nearly invisible orthodontic care is as effective as traditional metal braces in correcting common problems.

Thin, comfortable, and flexible, aligner trays are designed to move your teeth a fraction of a millimeter at a time, all while allowing the real you to shine through during treatment.

Because these trays can be removed, it is the patients’ responsibility to manage their treatment in between office visits. Patients will wear each aligner for one week at a time, ensuring they are worn 20–22 hours a day and are removed for eating, brushing, and flossing. The number of aligners needed to correct an individual’s orthodontic issues varies.

Phase I Treatment

Early Treatment

Building great smiles should begin early in life. The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) recommends you schedule your child’s first orthodontic appointment when a problem is first recognized, but no later than age 7. By age 7, many children have enough permanent teeth for our team at Stokes Orthodontics to evaluate their developing bite and jaws, giving you insight into possible issues down the road.
