About Stokes Orthodontics

As practice administrator, Leigh Ann has spent the past five years helping ensure every patient enjoys an exceptional experience from the moment they walk through the door. Inspired by a desire to make a difference in people’s lives and smiles, she wears many hats each day, from welcoming new patients and stepping into sterilization when needed to overseeing the practice’s day-to-day operations. One of her favorite parts of the job is watching children grow in confidence as their smiles transform, and she loves working alongside a team that truly cares about every patient. Outside the office, Leigh Ann enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends, and traveling whenever she gets the chance.

Amanda has been a dedicated Orthodontic Assistant at Stokes Orthodontics for 24 years. Her passion for orthodontics began as a child when she was a patient here herself, remembering the office as a place where she always felt welcomed and cared for by kind people. Today, she helps create that same positive experience by assisting Dr. Stokes with placing and removing braces, caring for patients throughout their treatment, and occasionally supporting the front desk and new patient consultations. Amanda’s favorite moment is revealing a patient’s new smile after their braces come off and seeing the excitement and confidence that follows. When she’s away from the office, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, cheering at football games and school events, fishing, and relaxing in the pool.

A newer member of the team, Amy brings eight years of customer service and organizational experience to her role. Inspired by her passion for organization and helping others, Amy loves creating a welcoming, organized experience for every patient and family. She keeps the office running smoothly by managing schedules, answering questions, assisting with financial information, and ensuring clear communication between patients, families, and the Stokes team. Amy’s favorite part of her job is that every day brings something new, and she enjoys building lasting relationships while helping create smiles that can change lives. Outside the office, you’ll often find her enjoying a great cup of coffee, planning a trip to the beach, spending time with family, cheering on Texas Tech, or listening to country music.

Amy has been a valued assistant at Stokes Orthodontics for 18 years, bringing 20 years of orthodontic experience and a lifelong passion for the profession. Knowing from an early age that orthodontics was the career she wanted to pursue, Amy now helps patients throughout every stage of their smile journey by placing, adjusting, and removing braces, as well as assisting with insurance questions to help make the treatment process as smooth as possible. Her favorite part of working at Stokes Orthodontics is being part of a close-knit team where no two days are ever the same, creating a supportive environment for both patients and coworkers alike.

Caroline joined the Stokes team in September 2023, serving as a scheduling coordinator while also supporting marketing efforts. She was inspired to pursue a career in orthodontics because she wanted to make a meaningful difference in people’s confidence and smiles while contributing to the success of a practice that truly cares for its patients. In her role, Caroline helps guide patients through scheduling, answers financing questions, and keeps the day-to-day flow of the office running smoothly. Her favorite part of working at Stokes Orthodontics is being part of such a supportive team and helping create beautiful, confident smiles every day. Outside of the office, Caroline enjoys spending time with her family, getting lost in a good book, and expressing her creativity through a variety of hobbies.

Mackenzie brings more than six years of experience to the team after graduating as a registered dental assistant (RDA) in 2019. What began as an opportunity through a friend’s recommendation quickly grew into a career she loves, thanks to the fast-paced environment, supportive team, and meaningful patient care. In her role, Mackenzie performs a wide range of clinical responsibilities, including taking X-rays, assisting with procedures, coordinating patient care, and supporting the team to keep each day running smoothly. Her favorite part of working at Stokes Orthodontics is meeting new people and building lasting relationships with patients throughout their smile journey. Outside of work, Mackenzie enjoys antique shopping, spending time with family and friends, spoiling her three beloved weenie dogs, exploring the outdoors on SxS rides, and relaxing at the beach.
